Howard Carter Statue for Swaffham Norfolk

Howard Carter Statue for Swaffham Norfolk
Why this petition matters
Howard Carter (9 May 1874 – 2 March 1939) was a British archaeologist and Egyptologist who became world-famous after discovering the intact tomb (designated KV62) of the 18th Dynasty Pharaoh, Tutankhamun (colloquially known as "King Tut" and "the boy king"), in November 1922.
Howard Carter was born in Kensington on 9 May 1874, the son of Samuel John Carter, an artist, and Martha Joyce Carter (née Sands). His father trained and developed Howard's artistic talents.
Carter spent much of his childhood with relatives in the Norfolk market town of Swaffham, the birthplace of both his parents.
As its nearing the centenary of this historical find Swaffham needs and wants to recognize the carter connection and to bring this to attention of the world.
we would like to have a statue which would not only highlight the carter connection but also his connection with king tut. and letting the public interact with the statue by having a photo and information as well.
in order to do this we must petition the local council to proceed with this idea and make sure its completed before the 100 year anniversary.
so share and add your name to this and lets make some local history ourselves.
