Sign important petition for motorsport tracks worldwide in a future in precedent setting case from Stockholm, Sweden

Local Svemo-club Järva MK in Stockholm used MX-track Barkarby Motorstadion since the 1960's. In recent decades, there was a long struggle to keep the track.
But in 2017 the club was finally kicked out by the local government due to cloudy noise and other environmental concerns, despite that club offered decision makers science on the need to keep the track.
Some representing the local government (City of Stockholm) claim that they, as a “compensation”, will create and manage a "salamander/nature park" instead on the venue.
It is also outrageous to close the track due to noise concerns as it is planned to drive 140,000 cars just past the track on the new motorway every day around the clock.
But experience has shown that it much better economy to let non-profit enthusiasts manage this nature conservation, hindering overgrowth etc. Governments should use tax-payer money more wisely.
In previous documents from the City of Stockholm, the city itself states that it cannot afford to take care of today´s nature conservation due to the hard work needed to keep the landscape open.
The track is optimally located between forest and motorway for a track in Stockholm's central area.
The social benefits of sports should not also be neglected anymore. A large number of children and young people now have lost their opportunity to continue with their sport, as the distances to other courses in the county become too long, to be able to continue in a sustainable way.

Some important positions and reasons why local club should regain access to the track:

Revive a great social gathering point almost for free - the societal benefits of sport should no longer be neglected.

• Take the chance to back away from an ill-advised decision and prevent continued serious adverse effects on sport, the social, societal benefits, children / youth and the environment.

• Contribute to increased biodiversity since the knowledge of the important role of motor sport tracks as bio-banks and optimal management of these are increasing.

• Since the club ceased its activities in the area three years ago, over 60 % of the biodiversity has disappeared from the area (see other attached file). Motor sport tracks add an important disturbance regime to the soil that promotes biodiversity, which hardly can be achieved in any other way without burning tax-payer money.

But why should I sign this, as an “outsider”?

• This track, located in central Stockholm, is unique since the club studied species richness (biodiversity) when track was open and also after the track was closed, the results proved the need to keep tracks open to maintain high biodiversity.

This particular case is an example that should set a precedent for the future for motortracks all around the world. If we, thanks to biodiversity and other sustiainability issues, can reopen a track this can be used as a good leading example worldwide.

• We have science and hands on knowledge on our side. Professional studies of tracks in for example Sweden (see attached file) and the Czech Republic prove that active tracks are very important for hindering overgrowth etc. in maintaining high biodiversity

• The Swedish Motorcycle and Snowmobile Association (Svemo) and the The Swedish Sports Confederation (RF) strongly support this case, among others.
