Civic minded Councilors over the past 25 years have come up with a DCP plan for this Cronulla precinct that allowed for reasonable development. The Sammut Group has previously shown disregarded to over shadowing rules and has pressed for and received approval on other developments. Their current Application is not reasonable. It seeks to construct a 12 Storey building wall (taller than is allowed), and that will prevent the sun from reaching this Park again. Their Application does not comply with virtually ALL of Councils Planning Rules and Ratios; and exceeds these by a LONG WAY. These rules are in place not to stop Development, but to enhance it for the benefit of it's citizens.... If the Sammut Group want the Council and Residents of this Shire to reasonably consider their developments, then they should use their copious wealth to acquire adjoining properties to move closer to the Ratios that will allow them to redesign this development so it "steps back" and not overshadow and kill this precious Civic Space. This is reasonable and
logical

It’s a peaceful park that people enjoy. Why get rid of it?

Outrageous, a small piece of garden haven for all to enjoy.
Don't destroy this, parks must be preserved.

Do not destroy Munro Park. The earth needs open green space, the people need somewhere to gather and enjoy. Dogs need somewhere to roam. Possums need their trees.
