Eliminate single-use plastic water bottles from the Sutherland Shire by 2020

Knowing that only 35% of plastic bottles are ever recycled, and those that aren’t, take 1000 years to break down – it’s time to call for a change from our council. If you and others in our community can simply carry your refillable bottle, then we should have access to water bubblers across the entire Sutherland Shire region.

Installing drinking stations in popular recreation spaces across the Shire is an easy and affordable way to reduce our single-use plastic waste. They’ve already been installed in several locations across Sydney including in the city, Camden and Wollondilly – now it’s our turn!

Join with us in asking Sutherland Shire Council to fund and build conveniently-located hydration stations to readily refill our re-usable water bottles.
