Forest fires in the country, according to official information, covered more than 5.5 million hectares of forests. This is comparable to the territory of Croatia and more than Denmark or the Netherlands. In Victoria and New South Wales alone, about 1,300 buildings were destroyed; 23 people were killed and about 30 were reported missing.

Fires in Australia have been raging for almost 3 months and rescuers, unfortunately, can not put them out. More than 3,000 reservists have already been involved in fighting the fire.
