SUSPENSION OF COMMUNITY WORK AUSTRALIA ACCREDITATION Bachelor of Community Services - AE
O problema
Dear Mr. CEO,
We want to continue trusting in Acknowledge Education and in the commitment of the institution towards its students. However, we, the undersigned students of the Bachelor of Community Services, wish to formally express our deep concern regarding the recent suspension of Community Work Australia (formerly CWA) accreditation for our course.
Many of us are currently in the final stages of our studies and enrolled in the course based on the clear understanding that it was professionally accredited and would allow graduates to apply for skills assessments for migration and professional purposes.
Several students have now received confirmation from Community Work Australia that if the accreditation remains suspended at the time of course completion, students will generally not be considered to have completed an accredited qualification, regardless of being in the final trimester or close to graduation.
This situation has created significant distress, uncertainty, and concern among students who have invested years of study, substantial tuition fees, and made major personal, financial, career, and migration decisions based on the accredited status of the course.
We respectfully request:
- Clear and transparent communication regarding the current situation with both students and staff;
- Urgent clarification about protections or transitional arrangements for currently enrolled students;
- Information regarding negotiations or actions being undertaken with Community Work Australia;
- Support and guidance for affected students; and
- Consideration of fair remedies or alternative pathways should students be unable to obtain skills assessments after graduation.
We believe students who enrolled in good faith while the course was accredited deserve fairness, transparency, and meaningful support during this process.
We respectfully ask Acknowledge Education to urgently address these concerns and provide students with clear written guidance regarding our future options.
Sincerely,
Students of Acknowledge Education (all campuses).
