The Russian Federation is committing crimes against humanity and mass atrocities in sovereign Ukraine.

Thousands of civilians are being targeted and murdered, cities and homes are being destroyed and nuclear power plants are being attacked. Europe is not only at the brink of a humanitarian crises but also at the brink of a war.

The UN Security Council's goals is to address threats to international security such as current Russian atrocities. The Security council has the power to impose sanctions, foster negotiations and most importantly authorize the deployment of peacekeeping missions.

A Resolution of the UN security council and it's power to impose binding obligations on UN member states can stop the war in Ukraine and prevent thousands of additional innocent civilians being killed.

Therefore, we must suspend Russia's Veto Power in the UN Security Council and prevent the country from blocking the vital resolution.
