Stop Breed-Specific Laws

0 have signed. Let’s get to 500!

Breed-Specific Legislation is a ban set on specific breeds of dogs; specifically those that resemble breeds such as the American Pit Bull Terriers, Staffordshire Terriers, English Bull Terriers, and even large dogs like German Shepherds. The consequences for these laws can include keeping muzzles on these breeds, not allowing breeding or ownership of them, or even euthanization. 21 states have banned Breed-specific laws and I want to keep the number growing as these laws have been deemed ineffective. Stop the harm of innocent animals and sign this petition to eliminate these laws in New Mexico and then to the rest of the U.S.
