It wouldn't be in question if they were for men

I had three daughters and so much financially worse off than someone with three sons. There should be a tax refund not a tax!

A man must of made this difficult decision to TAX our sanitary. HOW luxurious it is to have every three weeks for me, and at a heavy flow each time that lasts a week I nearly pass out with blood loss and pain. UNTAX this please. With being on a pension it costs me too much, sometimes with bills to pay also I go without FOOD.

It's hard enough to afford these necessary items for my family - removing the gst would be a help for my budget.

It's not like I can just tell my girls to not have their period because I can't afford to buy them pads this month ...

Because this tax is grocely inappropriate and smacks of the sleezy pimpish qualities of men who want to maintain the upper hand, and can, simply due to their numbers making these decisions. Women in office would never have created this tax. It has been for us women to wait on men throughout history. This is just them again, riding on the earnings of women or the allowances of eleven to 15 year old girls still at school so that self important men can have a few more silk ties and so look dapper for the media. If these male decision makers put some thought into this tax it would not exist. If they are so blatantly thoughtless, careless and wrong with this one, what of other decisions they are making?i will feel more confident about a gov who recognises this error, no other. It probably causes more health problems than the revenue it raises solves. Better the women didn't get sick over the worry and implications of being exploited would probably save more on the HEALTH bill than is earned by it.
These male politicians do not love their wives and daughters, they clearly just love themselves and haven't even managed a conversation with the on the matter.

I'm signing because sanitary tax implies sanitary products are not a necessity, when clearly it is. This assumption also signifies how patriarchal our society and institutions of politics are.
