During bath time routine on Monday, August 22nd I had noticed a bruise on my sons upper left arm and asked him what happened. He stated that his teacher had gotten mad at him and grabbed his arm and squeezed hard. He said that he had gotten in trouble and wasn't good that day. (Which is no reason to ever put hands on a child) He attends school in Tazewell County. He is 5 and in Kindergarten. After forensic review it was stated it was a non-accidental bruise. However when interviewed, my son shut down or was simply confused because he had already spent 2 days with a new teacher who just so happened to have the same last name. He calls everyone a Mr. He doesn't understand pronouns. So at the end of the day it's the teachers word against his. So there is no case. Of course the teacher is back.

I'm starting this petition to ask Tazewell County Public Schools to put up surveillance cameras in every Elementary class room. Not only for the protection of our children but for the protection of our teachers.
