Surry County commissioners Eddie Harris and Van Tucker voted to remove all Coca-Cola products and vending machines from Surry County property.  Their reasoning for this had nothing to do with what is good for Surry County or in the interests or wishes of the citizens they were elected to serve.  In their speeches regarding the matter, they reflected poorly on Surry County and made statements that would deter many businesses from locating or expanding in our great county. Effectively they cost us jobs and prosperity.

We call on the Surry County Board of Commissioners to reverse their action and commit to focusing on the needs of Surry County citizens.
