Absolute pain in the neck and part of the trendy anticar/personal mobility agenda.

Once a year everyone bends over backwards to accommodate cyclists, saying that, the two weeks either side of it are a nightmare.

Living on Boxhill is a nightmare on the numerous’race’ days. Detained in our homes for a day. Also the litter dropped by competitors is disgraceful. Enough!

I am objecting because of the massive disruption and inconvenience that is caused by the west London leg of the ride, more specifically the SW6 south Fulham area. Every year there is frequent gridlock. Any future ride event should be moved to another part of London. My support for the petition is both personal and on behalf of the Peterborough Road & Area Residents' Association.

I dislike all the bullies on bikes who take the whole road as they’ve decided to go for a ride. They are often so rude and even confrontational and they seem to take over lots of nice rural villages especially the ‘Cycle Clubs’

I live here and i hate to see myself and my neighbours stuck in their homes for hours on end. Some of these people need to get to work, hospital and need carers to visit them. I don't think any type of entertainment should alienate anyone, let alone those of us that pay to live here.

I live on Box Hill and have had enough of cyclists since the Olympics. It is now time for the route to go through another area

Because we suffer every single day with extra cyclists riding this route, all because of Ride London and the Olympics. It causes a lot of upset, locking people in their homes for the day, many of whom need to get to/from work or elderly people going without their carers as the carers are unable to get to them.

It is about time it was moved to another part of the country. It must be against human rights to keep people from leaving their roads. Someone should check this out.

I hate this event. Cyclists bring nothing to the county except litter from their energy tubes, gas cylinders, punctured tyres, entry tickets, food wrappers etc. They hog the roads training at weekends at evenings and make it almost impossible for locals to navigate the narrow roads where they live without having to go on an obstacle course around them. They ride sometimes 3-4 abreast and care not a jot for the poor motorist stuck behind them. They are a menace and the race is a complete nightmare each year.
