I do not believe that closure of recycling centres and tips 'should have occurred. The impact everywhere, as in Surrey, is that fly tipping has increased and has become the scourge of rural areas causing untold damage and harm to the countryside. So why close the centres. People are able to keep their distance when attending. So what's the problem?
Fly tipping is all ready evident around Lyne and Chertsey because of the weekly 2 day closure. A full shutdown would only result in more illegal dumping. Please don't shut this public facility! It's is very handy & the guys who work there are a nice bunch of people.
