Work has already started on the Chapel Lane development and the Lane will only get busier with workers then eventually new residents occupying the 44 new homes that will be built there.

During all the objections submitted against this development it was obvious that many residents felt that the Lane was unsafe as it is , let alone with the increased traffic it will have to deal with.

The Lane is used by a great number of local residents to walk their dogs or children to and from the school or playing fields there.

At present there is NO plans to reduce the speed limit on Chapel Lane , so I propose a limit of 20MPH  in order to keep it safe for the children of Bagshot who will be returning to School 

We may have lost the planning application against the developer , but we can still use this petition to force Surrey County Council Highways department to listen to us and make this road safer NOW
