Little Acorns has been made aware that they must leave in July. With no alternative premises for Little Acorns, this means they must close. Last year the Crown Christian Heritage Trust took over the building, and is seeking to increase services and general activity at the church. Therefore, the Trust deem it unsuitable to share the building with us which we disagree with.

With Reigate & Banstead Council refusing to allow Little Acorns to renovate and use the pavilion in Kingswood Rec, and with no other options, they have no choice but to close.

However, we feel that Little Acorns could come to an agreement to work with the Crown Christian Heritage trust to stay open.

Obviously, our main concern is for our children and families. With no provision in the village, parents will need to look slightly outside of Lower Kingswood for preschool/ nursery provision. This will come as a huge inconvenience to staff, parents and future parents within our community.

Our other concern is for the amazing staff as they will be losing their jobs and have families to support.

Little Acorns has been in our village for nearly 10 years and we are devastated about the church's decision.
