The efforts of coach Dean Gorré and the Suriname Natio team should not be in vain. He has taken the national team and soccer to an international level and should continue to do so. For the first time the entire country was supporting the national team and it was the start of a great future for professional soccer in Suriname. Not only did it give the country positive International exposure, but it was a light during difficult times. By firing the entire staff and team that have worked so hard, they have done the country and it’s people a terrible injustice!

The board of the Suriname Soccer Federation (SVB) should be removed. They have ruined any chance of Suriname advancing soccer in the country, because of corruption and greed! Proceeds of FIFA are never invested, they steal and break the foundation of professional soccer in the country. 

I have been a soccer fan my entire life, in our region it is a part of life. I love my country and therefore support the efforts of Dean Gorré and his team. Not only can they go for the World Cup qualifications, and give the people hope, they can realize the dreams of countless youth of one day playing a World Cup soccer match.
