Constitutional Amendment for Medical Cannabis
0 have signed. Let’s get to 100!
Currently all cannabis in the US is illegal by federal law. This means that the 28 states and the District of Columbia that have legalized medical cannabis and CBD oil are in violation of federal law. This puts patient's, Medical Staff, Growers, Dispensaries, Banking institutions and any one connected to the Cannabis industry in jeopardy of lengthy Federal Prison sentences.
Article Five of the United States Constitution states that the Constitution, may in fact be changed. An amendment Change/Addition/Deletion can be done in one of two ways. Amendments may be proposed either by the Congress with a two-thirds vote in both the House of Representatives and the Senate, which is unlikely currently. Or by a convention of states called for by two-thirds of the state legislatures. two thirds would require 34 states to act. We are almost there. Help us get to the finish line and make this legal for those that suffer.
The current Executive Administration and Congress does not seems to be in favor or in support of any Cannabis. Therefore I propose the states make the change and save Patients, the Medical Community, and any part of the Medical Cannabis community from lengthy prison terms for providing comfort, care and relief to those in need.
