Restrictions on Foilboarding at Pt Roadknight

Restrictions on Foilboarding at Pt Roadknight
Since the arrival of the newly introduced Watersport of Foilboarding, there have been numerous collisions resulting in both physical injury and personal property damage, as well as countless near misses, as a direct result of the inappropriate use of these boards in and around the surf zone.
The use of these boards creates an unacceptable risk when used in & around surfers, swimmers, sailers, recreational fishers, etc.
Issue being, Foil Boards have potential to travel at very high speeds, comparable to that of a combustion powered watercraft. The speed at which these boards travel is not compatible for safe use in and amongst traditional water users (as listed above.) These boards require an exceptionally high level of skill to be used safely around other water users.
Similar restrictions/legislation needs to be created and enforced to provide a safe environment for all other surf zone users. Legislation similarly to that of personal watercraft which currently exists specific to Point Roadknight aquatic zone.
Urgent action needs to be taken prior to the upcoming surf season which draws many thousands of beach goers to the Point Roadknight aquatic zone, to ensure the safety of those venturing into the surf.
