In Govt Bank's the Group A officer's BP is Rs 23700/- as compared to Central Govt group "A" officer's starting BP of Rs 56100/-. The starting Basic salary of a Group "A" officer of the bank is almost equal to the lowest graded employee in the central govt after 10 years of service.
A bank Officer, at start of the service is being paid approximately 2.35 times less as compared to the Group "A" officer of the Central Govt.
Bank Officers are more prone to financial Risk even then being paid almost equal to the salary of UDC in the Central Govt.
The change will bring all the officers of banking sector in line with the central Govt. and it will boost the the moral of banking officers who nowadays are burdened with lot of work pressure view increasing NPA and less manpower. Govt bank's being comes under umbrella of state, should also fall within the gambit of Central Pay commission as the same is passed by Union Cabinet and IBA should abide with the decision of union cabinet as being followed by UGC and other organisations.
