We live in a country where sexual abuse is so normal that people even families often suppress this issue because their “position in society” will get affected. Sometimes families use rape abuse to change the sexuality of their child and they don’t even accept their children if they’re transgendered. Its high time we act upon it and stop this sexual abuse and corrective rape tries to “cure” homosexuality. Homosexuality is not a “disease” that is to be “cured”, its how a person feels for themselves for their sexuality and we have every right to choose our pronouns and sexuality. We need to act upon it and stop it. People often worry about what would other people in the society will have to think about them and their children because they start to think that its the end of the world. We have to make them understand its not, we have to stop it, i am sure there will be number of y’all that won’t agree with me and its okay but its not okay to use corrective rape and sexual abuse and normalising them or accusing the victim that their actions led to whatever happened to them. It makes me sick from within that how orthodox mentality some people have in this new generation. I want us to join hands and fight against it.
