Equal Rights and Representation of the LGBT Community

Being a gay individual in India, I have seen many problems in my life representing myself. People trying to bully me, discriminate against me and also trying to make me question my existence ! The fight to scrap off Section 377 out of the Indian Constitutution has been going on for quite a while but every time we shift our focus on less important issues than this one. The LGBT community is a part of the society and no individual has the right to discriminate against us. I as an individual, a part of this community want equal representation in the Society and also want to see the LGBT people get a legal status. I want the Supreme Court to consider all the individuals of India, its citizens as one and not divide them in these 2 groups- Heterosexuals and Homosexuals. This change would help thousands of individuals accross the country to come out with pride and live their lives, the way they always wanted to live it. Your vote counts, make it count !
