Currently no education requirement to contest in MLA amd MP election in India. To understand the government Regulations and Laws, the person need to be educated to have conversation with both educated and uneducated people in his/her constituency.  Also, the person contest in the election must have experience in social service activity for minimum of few years and its social service recognised by people and the list of social services recorded in government documents and need to be listed during the election nomination time. This social service activity readily available to the public in government website.
