CBSE should not scrap moderation policy for class 12 this year

Future of 1 million students will be affected due to decision of CBSE to scrap moderation of marks in class 12 Board examinations after they were conducted this year. Either the decision should have been announced before conducting examinations, or it should be implemented only from next year so that all boards (including state boards) do uniform checking and  no student is at disadvantage during university admissions. Most foreign universities too have had a definite admission cutoff for many years and this will affect many students who have taken loans and applied in foreign universities. Moreover since many state boards withdrew out of the no moderation policy, they would fare higher than CBSE students. Also, the delay this is causing will affect admissions and preparation for students. Hence CBSE should be strictly directed to go ahead with the moderation policy that was in place when students enrolled themselves for the examinations and announce its change of policy from next year.
