Petition Closed

In 2002 the case Ashcroft vs. Free Speech Coaliation decided that images of digital children could be used in porn since it harmed no child in the making of the film and since not having it violated free speech.

I am here to protest. I think children should not be viewed as sexual objects of pleasure. If it is illegal to have sexual interaction with a minor it should not be displayed whether a child is being harm before or after the making.

The social culture implications of this law are not yet completely known and I feel unsafe knowing that someone in the United States can be watching this and perhaps planning to do the same on another real child.

A Congressional Report showed that 'In the study of convicted child molesters, 77% of those who molested boys, and 87% of those who molested girls admitted to habitual porn useage. http://www.jltp.uiuc.edu/archives/Mateo.pdf

FBI specialist Ken also noted 'molesters use child pornography to simulate their own desires and fuel their fanasties of children as sexual partners'. http://www.jltp.uiuc.edu/archives/Mateo.pdf

It is also mentioned that this porn could be used to later get a child to be okay with the concept.

Let's make a change for our children and stop this dead in it's tracks. Help take this off the books.

Letter to
SUPREME COURT
I just signed the following petition addressed to: Supreme court.

----------------
Make Digital Child Porn Illegal

Dear Supreme Court,
I understand that you have heard in the past a case, Ashcroft vs. Free Speech Coaliation, where you declared that digital child pornography since it had no child being harmed in the making of it, that it was fine to have in the marketplace. I have to say that I was astounded by this outcome. I along with the others who are signing this are asking you to rethink your outcome and change it to reflect what the people of the land think are important, namely the safety of our children.

Sincerely,
