When I saw the Nazi flag on Parliament Hill, the Truckers urinating on the tomb of the unknown soldier, who died for our freedom, and the statue of Terry Fox defaced, I was incensed. The Truckers’Convoy represents .005 % of Canadians and do not even represent the majority of truckers who are law abiding and who are 85% vaccinated.

The Truckers’ Convoy is encouraging Canadians to oppose vaccinations. It has been proven that the vast majority filling our hospital beds are the unvaccinated and that vaccines and masks are effective. People are suffering, especially seniors who have their surgeries delayed.

The residents of Ottawa and Coutts are losing their freedom, while the Truckers who claim to be protesting freedom are blocking streets and harassing people wearing masks. Restrictions were just lifted on restaurants when the demonstrations closed their doors—throwing people out of work and impacting the livelihood of businesses. The truckers are taking away others’ freedom.

We want the federal and provincial leaders to continue with the vaccine and mask mandates and not give into these extremists. They are a tiny minority of Canadians. We sign this petition in the hope of demonstrating our belief in health measures and a law abiding Canada.
