The swimming pool in Vandalia, Illinois has been a staple in the community for decades. The pool provides a variety of functional and recreational opportunities for the community such as swim lessons, free swim days, water aerobics, and swim team practices. To keep the pool functional, bathhouse improvements are required. 

The Vandalia Park District is applying for grant funds to improve the bathhouse and provide accessible facilities. These improvements would go a long way in improving the pool.
