New York Waterway has been providing Belford Ferry Service for over 20 Years.  They  submitted a bid to the Monmouth County Commissioners office which includes cheaper commuting costs with more frequent ferries.  The bid was rejected stating “technical deficiency”.  The bid was awarded to the only competitor in the area.  This gives the competitor a monopoly and eliminates fair/free trade competition.  Which In turn will allow the competitor to control the cost for NJ commuters.
