We as students of Marcos de Niza are tired of watching our fine arts classes being cut year after year. The fine arts programs provide students with a sense of community and belonging and they truly make a difference in our lives. It is the responsibility of the school board and the Marcos administration to help us rebuild after COVID, and from our perspective, that has not happened. We as students feel unsupported and unappreciated. We are asking for the superintendent, the school board, and our administration to give us the support for our programs that we deserve. Marcos is advertised as a fine arts school but our programs are collapsing in front of our eyes and something needs to change.
