Our names are Salindra Jones and Kelsey Moore. We are Texas Woman's University (TWU) Social Work majors who have a passion for the elderly/senior population. As future social workers; we have an ethical responsibility to ensure that our seniors are not only cared for, but protected and elder abuse is eradicated.

Please help us bring Attention to and Awareness of: Elder Abuse.

Supporting our elders, who are one of the most vulnerable and at-risk-populations is critical to ensuring that they are able to experience the Quality of Life that they Deserve. By supporting this petition, you will not only help to bring awareness of this "Hidden" form of abuse; but begin to bring hope to those who depend on us to Protect them. 

That's why we are advocating to support S.Res.295  to have June 15 designated at "Elder Abuse Awareness Day", and the month of June designated "Elder Abuse Awareness Month".
