Our Current Oban RA, Stephanie is forcefully being relocated by UCR housing. Stephanie and her partner have been one of the most supportive RA's at Oban and have made their mission to be available and known to all student parents. They make us feel heard and supported, and this has never happened with other Oban RAs. We want also to acknowledge that she is a different-abled mother to a young child, Rey. There are no other UCR housing that is safe and accommodating to a toddler or families in general. As student parents, this decision from UCR housing speaks loud to their priorities in safety and family wellness. It is obvious, we student parents are not given priority in this university. 

We are requesting that UCR Housing pave the way in supporting and prioritizing Student Families and different-abled people by allowing Stephanie, baby Rey, and Jorge to continue residing in Oban Family Housing.
