Support Marriage Equality in Hawaii
The Supreme Court has just struck down the Defense of Marriage Act, and now legally married same-sex couples have full access to the tools they need to take care of their families. But couples in Hawaii are still denied these federal-level protections.
Because the Aloha State only offers civil unions -- not marriage -- to gay couples, families are still denied thousands of protections afforded to legally married couples. We can change that.
Sign now to pledge your support for allowing all loving couples to share in the freedom to marry.
In Hawaii, we believe in the spirit of Aloha -- treating others the way we would want to be treated. None of us would want to be told that we can't marry the person we love.
But in Hawaii, committed same-sex couples are denied the freedom to marry. Now that the Supreme Court has overturned the so-called Defense of Marriage Act and legally married same-sex couples are afforded federal protections, I stand with the majority of Hawaii residents who support the freedom to marry for all ohana.
