Dear Langston has done so much for so many. All of us hold it near and dear to our hearts. Our hearts would fill with pride when our Alma Mater faces off with a sister HBCU week in and week out. The bonds and culture are like no other. Playing the likes of Lane, Central State, Miles, Tuskegee & Kentucky State in the football conference would boost alumni support & turnout while also attracting students eager to have the full HBCU experience. add the likes of Clark Atlanta, Morehouse and Fort Valley State in basketball and we would expand our national exposure to aid in increasing enrollment. Our campus is built for and deserves an enrollment above 2,500 students. Our community is longing for camaraderie only found in HBCU circles (athletics, band, dance, cheer, Greek life & more)! Joining the SIAC conference promotes all of the ideas of that environment. We have the voice to convince the administration of Langston University to support this transition. In return our financial assistance will help make it sustainable. Alumni giving will have to pick up, attendance/ticket sales must support this initiative, campus fees will have to encompass travel and conference regulations, however, WE CAN DO THIS! Let’s get to the SIAC!!!
