Have worked in the entertainment industry for over thirty years. It is well known in the entertainment industry that states that offer and have the most lucrative film tax credits and incentives are the states where the studios, networks, production companies, producers, and clients have on their radar as their top choice for filming their productions. Productions pump billions of dollars into the local, city, county, and state economy in the form of creating jobs for cast and crew, locations, supplies, textiles, food, beverages, lodging, air transportation, ground transportation, props, wardrobe, goods, services, free advertising, marketing, and promoting of the Hawaiian Islands, and the list is endless. Please sign this petition and give the very diverse and talented cast and crew people of Hawai'i the opportunity to continue to work within our craft and to advertise, market, promote, and showcase the beauty of Hawai'i on a local, national, and international level to a worldwide audience. Aloha and mahalo nui loa!

as a single mother raising her son in Hawai'i, finances were always tight. I was an educator for 31 years. I got my first "extras" in the movie "Blue Crush". We received good pay and free meals. We were paid extra if we had cars with Hawai'i license plates; surf boards, tee shirts etc. with Hawaiian related messages. We spent each day at Banzai Pipeline and once filming was over, we could surf with our friends. For the first time, I had enough money to buy some 'goodies'. Please use our lands and ocean properly and clean up afterward. Please help local residents with jobs. Mahalo nui loa

These films have QUADRUPLED Hawai’i’s film revenue. Australia which still enjoys an uncapped film industry. The film industry is a clean and green industry. Hawaii legislature would be crazy to give that up.
