Hi my name is Kai Nelson and I go to Monarch high school. In this last week we have had many, many people lose their homes to wild fires in Louisville, Superior, and Boulder. I would love to Stand up for our community. BVSD has put out a email that says that there will be no delay for students who lost their homes and that we will all be starting school on Jan. 5th.  It will not only be impossible for the students who have lost literally everything to learn but also for those of us who have witnessed this unfold. How do you expect expect us to even attempt to focus after what happened. I feel that we need time to process all of this and to support our friends and families. These families need time to figure out car pools, clothes, school supplies, and so much more.
