SUPPORT FOR AN AFRICAN AMERICAN SCHOOL SUPERINTENDENT IN THE HOPKINS COUNTY SCHOOLS SYSTEM

SUPPORT FOR AN AFRICAN AMERICAN SCHOOL SUPERINTENDENT IN THE HOPKINS COUNTY SCHOOLS SYSTEM
Why this petition matters
On June 30, 2021 the Hopkins County Schools Superintendent seat will become vacant. There has never been an African American to hold this important position, and NOW IS THE TIME for our community to join together in support of filling the seat with a qualified African American. By working together as a “unified” community, we have an opportunity to do everything in our power to make this happen. However, it takes ALL of us, and it takes full support from everyone. The AFRICAN AMERICAN COALITION OF HOPKINS COUNTY in partnership with the MINORITY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL (MEDC sub-committee), is asking everyone to PLEASE SIGN AND SHARE THIS PETITION with everyone. We have before us, an opportunity to show our children and grandchildren that “we didn’t give up on them”, and that we cared about their future in the public school system. This can be a historic start of something great that can make a better world for ALL students in the public school system. Why not in our community? Change is always good when its good change, but that change lies in our hands if its going to be. There are many qualified African Americans out there that we can get behind with our full support! But for now, we need everyone’s assurance that they will be in full support of filling the Superintendent seat with a qualifiedAfrican American. WILL YOU PLEASE SIGN THIS PETITION, AND SHARE?
