Twin Rivers Unified School District have placed the 2011 California State Teacher of the year Dr. Raja on leave with possible termination 

Dr. Raja has supported thousands of youth who were failing academically by inspiring them to believe in themselves. Dr. Raja has been a resource in the community for over 16 years. He has also gained respect from many community leaders, and change makers because of his selfless work for youth and community growth. 

There are countless stories of his hard work and determination to make sure our community strives for a better tomorrow. His work speaks volumes, while he was at Grant High School he created the "Da' PAC Academy." The PAC was a summer math program that uplifted hundreds of failing students  to success.

Another program that Dr. Raja created was the "Handz on Mentor" Program that also had a huge impact on the community of Oakdale and Oakdale Elementary.

For this program, Dr. Raja created a system that placed mentors from the community into the classroom to support students. This program followed by a creative and affective plan changed the culture of Oakdale Elementary and Community for the better. Dr. Raja made that possible, making his plan to use also know as the ABCW check-in system. 

Dr. Raja and the Handz on Mentor program was beginning to expose the truths to while Oakdale Elementary has been struggling and why the community has being ignored. But he has been placed on leave and we need to recall the Twin Rivers Unified School District in order to bring change to our education community. He is not the only figure that has been targeted by the District.
