Women are a minority in the legal profession and should be recognized as such and enjoy the additional benefits that other minorities receive.

The DBA should recognize a bar association dedicated to improving the status of women in the legal community.

I strongly believe the Dallas Bar Association needs to be officially recognized the Dallas Women Lawyers Association as a minority bar association. I can think of no reason why such recognition would NOT be granted in this day and age and its refusal to do so is indicative of its unwillingness to give woman attorneys a voice on the Dallas Bar Association Board of Directors. This attitude is shameful!

the current code is very dated and sexist.

I am signing because we are all in this together; including as much diversity as possible strengthens the legal position in all issues particularly human rights for all of us. To not recognize the women's bar group is barbaric. We should all be moving forward in providing access to justice for all, opening doors to reach those who need our services and for those who can provide those services.

I am a Oregon Woman Lawyer. I want to support and encourage everyone in their pursuit and advancement of the law. Wouldn't it be wonderful if the playing field was "equal"?
