On the first day of this semester, it was brought to our attention that the College of Central Florida's Board of Trustees decided to cancel the graduation intended for December of 2022. They made the decision to have only one graduation every year, in May. Where this may be more accommodating for the Board of Trustees and the staff; I feel that their decision lacked notice, empathy for the feelings of their paying students and their family members. I also feel that every single CF student has worked incredibly hard to have this success and should not have to wait five months to have their graduation. In addition to that fact, in May most students will be knee deep in their new career, and unable to make this new graduation intended for May 2023. Which essentially is taking the graduation away from students who have worked so hard for this one day of celebration for their achievements. 

     Myself and two other classmates decided to make a survey and send it to the nursing students. The results of this study shows that 87.5% of students said that they would attend graduation in December, 29.17% stated they would not go to the May graduation and 83.33% of students also stated that they would be willing to pay $5 to $10 to make this graduation happen, and 8.33% of students would be willing to have a fundraiser to make this happen.

     In conclusion, we need your support to present the Board of Trustees with enough signatures to make a difference.
