Although it's a small street, Lee Ave is named after son of the infamous Confederate General Robert E Lee, Captain George Washington Custis Lee. With San Francisco being one of the most progressive cities in the United States, it surprises me that we still have a street named after a Confederate Army Captain. I propose we dedicate the street to former Mayor Edwin Lee, for the tremendous impact he had on the city during his time in politics. We wouldn't even have to change the street signs! Let's make this happen!
