Why this petition matters

Started by Hazel Hardy

My petition comes under many categories, food, health, cost of living  which comes under the economy.

I am a 64 year old disabled woman who has limited funds to spend on food, and my health due to the rising cost of living.

From time to time my health stops me from going to my local supermarket to stock up on provisions. I then have to rely on family and friends to help me if they are free to do so.

I have used Online Shopping before especially in lockdown as this for me personally provide and much needed positive service.
However most Supermarkets put a minimum spend on the service plus a delivery charge which can be very expensive if you only require a few items.

The service is not always able to provide you with the items you have ordered either but will send you an alternative which may not be suitable. You do have a option to opt out of this option then you have to source this item elsewhere.
Supermarkets  also provide a Click and Collect Service , not every store provides this and can be miles away where you will still need someone to pick up for a charge plus a charge for Click and Collect.

In this time of Austerity I am asking Supermarkets to reassess their policies and provide a more Customer Friendly Service across the board, to provide diversity for all. This is time for change and Supermarkets need to listen to their customers. Please sign if you agree.

Thank you.
