It is long overdue that beer should be included in the meal deal. We believe the higher cost drink products already included in many meal deal options are of equal value to cans of beer (at least 330ml cans).

Beer could be included in the meal deal just for the weekend and we would still be happy. We just think it is an important step forward to give people the option for a lunchtime alcoholic beverage on a budget. We predict that the inclusion of beer in meal deals would prove to be an incredibly popular move for supermarkets.

We have all had an incredibly difficult time since March 2020, if there has ever been a time to fight for the right of lunchtime boozing it is NOW. 

Including only one beer in a meal deal would reduce temptation to buy a four back of lager on top of your lunchtime meal and this would help reduce daytime intoxication.
