Problem
It's too difficult and time-consuming for shoppers to research whether products contain palm oil linked to tropical deforestation

Solution
Supermarkets could help make it much easier by:
(i) providing a simple tick box for online shoppers to filter out products containing non-certified palm oil like this:
[ ] Please don’t show me any products containing non-sustainable palm oil
(ii) providing more information to shoppers online and in-store
(iii) asking their suppliers to use palm oil certification scheme logos on their packaging

Personal story
We are a local climate change campaign group in Saffron Walden, Essex, concerned about the impact our shopping has on the environment. We know that conservation charities argue for palm oil certification rather than a boycott. We'd like more help from supermarkets to choose sustainable palm oil.
