About one month ago I made this petition and advocated that employees/cashiers of Superior Grocers should recieve their breaks (on time) and have cashier tills counted in front of the cashier.
In less than 30 days I met with Human Resources and the company's VP. After a few meetings everything changed. There is new management at my store. I am no longer intimidated, stressed, or uncomfortable at my job. I recieve my breaks (on time) and, the best part is that cashiers now get to verify their cash balance in the accounting booth before their shift is over.
The new policy (verifying cash balances) is currently taking place at my store only. In a week or so, after the policy is completely clear and in tact, it will spread to the rest of the district. In another week or so, maybe next month, the policy will eventually be company wide.
Superior Grocers really stepped up their game. Communication was key to this victory as well as the 346 supporters on this petition and any other potential supporters. I am so proud of what we managed to do as a team involving myself (employee) and management. And I sincerely hope that the opinions of some supporters on this petition will change after recognizing that my company worked with me, not agaisnt me. I am very thankful for that.
