BPS, GIVE JELANI KEMP HIS DIPLOMA

My son, Jelani, was scheduled to graduate on June 16, 2017. I lost custody on June 5th because I supported my son’s decision to leave an exam school to attend an alternative school which he would graduate from a year early. He finished all of the eleventh and twelfth grade coursework in 6 months and was sitting at home waiting for June 16th to arrive when he was taken away from his home. He had been accepted to Bunker Hill Community College where he planned to bring up his GPA and then transfer into Morehouse College where he would secure his degree in Psychology.
His reality is, he was not allowed to graduate. The Boston Public Schools has accommodated his father’s needs by allowing him to remain in BPS even though he is no longer a resident of Boston. They have also removed one of the courses he completed, 12th grade English, and is saying that he did not meet the graduation requirements. SHAME ON YOU for doing this to any student!  I have proof from the BPS that he has met the state requirements to graduate.
BPS what are you saying about your diplomas by saying one is more valuable than another? By not honoring my son’s hard work, are you telling parents that only exam schools are valid?
BOSTON PUBLIC SCHOOLS GIVE JELANI KEMP THE DIPLOMA HE EARNED FROM BOSTON COLLABORATIVE HIGH SCHOOL!
