I feel as though we don't have enough options for electives. Almost all electives are fine arts-based, which doesn't help much later on in life. We need more future-oriented electives. I aspire to become a businesswoman, but nothing at school can help me achieve my goal, and I know others feel the same way. An entrepreneurship class would be a fantastic addition to our school district.

With electives such as band, choir, drama, art, and orchestra we will not be prepared for the real world. Gateway to technology, Spanish, and AVID aren't very great at preparation either. Spanish is a great skill to have, but not very many jobs require Spanish. AVID is a great organizational class to help keep grades up, but does it prepare you for a specific career? Not really.

There are so many students like me who need a class like entrepreneurship. We are the future of this world. Without business people, the world wouldn't work. Try taking away the engineers or all the programmers. Our economy wouldn't be the same. I'm sure most students agree. We need classes to prepare us for our future careers.
The PUSD website states that Poway USD provides " college and career readiness for all students". Without a class like entrepreneurship, students like me will not be ready for college or a career.

I've always known that I could be a successful businesswoman if my schools provided me with the classes and help I need. with a class like this, we would learn about finance and accounting, economics, management, public speaking and much more. If schools provided us with the tools we need, we could have a chance in this world and maybe reach our dreams.
