Goal Of This Petition:

Pleading that the Salem NH School District remove the updated guidelines regarding the mask mandate for the Fall Reopening.  Let parents decide whether their children should be forced to wear a mask.

We have learned a lot over the last 18 months!  One of the things that we have learned is that children do not easily contract or spread COVID-19 and they are not a vulnerable group to this virus. Nearly 100 percent (99.997 to be precise) of children under the age of 19 fully recovered if they contracted Covid.  The news of this new DELTA variant does not come with any supporting data to show that it may be harmful to the population in fact the CDC states that it comes with more mild symptoms. 

Many states in the USA have restricted the use of mask mandates and continue to support the idea that masking should be up to the parents of children.   On July 28, 2021 Governor Sununu stated that he was opposed to bringing back a face mask mandate in NH just one day after the CDC share their new "guidance".   Sununu felt that their guidance was very confusing and Dr. Chan noted that NH has one of the lowest rates of COVID of anywhere in the USA.

The social emotional effects of masks on the development of our young children is alarming.  "Pediatric mask wearing has been found to have discernable effects on fear, anxiety and language development."   A study involving over 25,000 school-aged children shows that masks are harming school children physically, psychologically, and behaviorally, revealing 24 distinct health issues associated with wearing masks. 

PLEASE STAND WITH ME and many other parents who have urged me to speak up to end this mask mandate and let the parents have their freedom back to decide what is best for their children!!
