With the recent events of the Bengals v. Chiefs game, we request that the Monday following the Super Bowl be taken off the FCPS schedule. Several schools in Cincinnati, Ohio, have already taken this step. Additionally, February 14th is home to many other holidays, namely Valentine's Day. The Bengals are the closest NFL team to us, giving a sense of unity in the community, and potentially a huge celebration. If this happens, many will be staying up late celebrating this historical moment. To avoid academic distraction and make for the most efficient teaching and learning, there should be no classes these days. Not to mention all the other holidays that happen that day, including but not limited to:
