As a senior at North Haven High School our class of 2021 has already lost so much. I am hoping with starting this petition we can make a change for our senior prom.
North Haven High School stated “due to gathering numbers, guests will not be permitted to attend prom. This event is only available to NHHS Seniors.” Governor Lamont has announced that they will be lifting restrictions including limitations. The outdoor restrictions were lifted May 1st. Starting May 19th all remaining business restrictions will end. 

The majority of students are already seeing each other outside of school including school sports, clubs, etc. I have been talking to many other seniors that attend NHHS and they have been feeling frustrated because of these circumstances. Also the majority of other schools in the state of Connecticut are permitted to bring prom dates out of their school/grade. 

With prom being 3 weeks away let’s come together to enable the seniors to bring dates outside of the senior class.
