The EOP and CSTEP programs were established to support students coming from educationally and economically disadvantaged backgrounds that show promise to succeed in college given access to the proper resources. Given this, EOP/CSTEP students, backed by their administrators, have developed a community that would be structured on the pillars of discipline, accountability, student engagement, social interaction, and collaboration in hopes of bridging the gap that many students encounter while transitioning to the Higher Education learning environment.
