Recently there have been multiple incidents that have occurred due to parking across the campus. These incidents are not only affecting the students but they are also affecting the community. There have been some recent attacks on students that are leaving there car after parking it at night. I believe that if we get enough people to sign this petition to make a change and allow the students to park behind residence halls instead of walking across campus during the night. Another reason is that in these residence halls parking lots we have figured out that they are always open with spots to park. While, it is a struggle to find a parking spot at the locations we are told to park. The incidents that happened involved verbal harassment, attempted kidnapping, and causing students to feel anxious, or scared of walking to their dorms at night.
